Our Pastor

Elder Eric C. Scott, Sr.

Eric Scott Sr. was born in Baltimore, MD on July22, 1971 to Mother Lillian Scott and the late Elder Charles W. Scott, Sr.  He is the youngest of 4 children born to this union.

Pastor Scott graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1989. He attended Morgan State University, where he received his  B.A. in Music. While at Morgan, he served as the lead student accompanist for the renown MSU Choir, under the tutelage of the late Dr. Nathan M. Carter.

Eric served as the church drummer at Lively Stone C.O.G.I.C., where his father served as pastor, at 5 years old. After much prayer, God alerted his father that he was to be the church psalmist.  His father anointed his hand and shortly thereafter the gift that so many have been blessed by, was made manifest.

In 1993, Eric married Marsha Brown, his “Brown Sugar”. God blessed this union with three strapping young men; Eric Jr., Aaron and Darrin.

In 1994, God blessed Eric to start the ministry of “Eric Scott & Company”.  He recorded his first CD in 1995. In addition to traveling extensively throughout the United States, the Bahamas, Spain, Germany and Japan with the MSU Choir, Eric was blessed to travel with “Company” to Switzerland and Italy, as well as the Eastern region of the United States.

Minister Scott accepted the call to preach the gospel in August 1996. In August 2003, he was ordained an Elder in the Church of God In Christ.

In 2004, Elder Scott was appointed State Minister of Music for the Greater Maryland Jurisdiction, under the leadership of Bishop David W. Spann, Sr.

He attended Good Shepherd C.O.G.I.C., under Superintendent Tony W. Torain, for three years until he was installed as Pastor of then Unity Progressive Memorial C.O.G.I.C., now Restoration Family Life C.O.G.I.C., on January 20, 2007.
